Then after spending the day there, come on up to Dixie Speedway in Woodstock to support this:

May 16 2008 - $5 Admission with 5 Food Items to Benefit MUST Ministries May 17 at Dixie

Woodstock, GA. Dixie Speedway and MUST Ministries are once again teaming up to create a fun and affordable opportunity for people to support a great cause - the MUST Ministries Food Bank.

On Saturday night, May 17 adult grandstand admission will be only $5 when 5 non perishable food items are presented at the MUST Ministries collection table located near the main entrance.

“MUST Cherokee is excited about Dixie Speedway's 4th Annual Benefit for MUST Ministries in Cherokee County. Each year we look forward to working with Dixie Speedway's staff and meeting their wonderful fans. Annually Dixie Speedway graciously reduces their ticket prices, this year by $8.00 per participating fan with 5 nonperishable food items for MUST, enabling us to fill our van from floorboard to ceiling with donated food for the hungry in Cherokee County. We are so grateful for this opportunity especially this year as many more of our Cherokee County neighbors are in need of our services because of the current economic downturn. Thank you, Dixie Speedway,” MUST Director Kim Loesing said.

Food items currently in short supply at the MUST Food Bank:

Beef Stew, canned tuna, oatmeal, canned ham, chicken or salmon, Ramen noodles, jelly, canned pork and beans, refried beans, canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti, dry beans and rice, dry potatoes, & peanut butter. Plastic containers, no glass containers.

Dixie's own full racing program including Econo Bombers, Cruisers, Sportsman, Super Late Models, Limited Late Models along with a Super Bomber Championship is on schedule for the weekend. Gates open at 5 PM, action starts at 7:30 PM.

Regular adult admission without a food donation is $13, ages 9 – 17 are $6, and children 8 and under are free. Trackside/ fence parking is $17 per adult and $11 per child, Pit passes are $22 per adult and $11 per child.

Dixie Speedway is located 1 mile west of I-575 on Hwy 92 or 6 miles east of I-75 on Hwy 92 in Woodstock, Georgia. For more information fans can call 770-926-5315 or visit www.dixiespeedway.com.

For more information about MUST Ministries or how you can help visit www.mustministries.org or call 770-479-5397.

My wife works for MUST and so I have been recruited as a volunteer to help tote food.

I have a 1972 Honda CB350 K4 Supersport...I inherited it from my grandfather. It is a very special bike to me. There are a lot of good folks in our club and it will be very interesting to see what is there this year.
