ALERT Hang on to any of the new Minnesota Quarters you may have or acquire.

They may be worth MUCH MORE than 25 cents! The US Mint announced it is recalling all the Minnesota quarters that are part of its program featuring quarters from each state. This action is being taken after numerous reports the new quarters will not work in parking meters, toll booths, vending machines, pay phones and other coin operated devices.

The problem is in the unique design of the Minnesota quarter, which was done by a couple of Norwegians, Sven and Ole. Apparently the duct tape holding the two dimes and nickel together keeps jamming up the machines
