Toys for Tots Ride

I love presents, the unknown, the excitement of guessing what's in the package. Ripping the wrapping off just gives me a thrill. Finally, seeing, using, and enjoying that gift, the thought of someone you know caring enough to find that perfect something. These days for me, it's most likely some new clothes or if I'm lucky something for on my wheeler. We all enjoy that thrill and I'd like to make sure that those who need it can still get it. I'd also like to support our military any way I can. One way to say thanks, is giving support to their charities. One of my favorite charities is the Toys for Tots.

I'd like to combine my other favorite hobby, ATVing and have a ride with the ultimate goal to be 100% donations to go to charity. So far I've hooked up with a Lakewoods Resort willing to host us on some nice trails, opening their doors in the hopes of putting a fun gathering together. With door prizes, DJ, good food and great people. All should have a good time. So join us, bring a toy, enjoy the trails, the food, laughter, knowing that you are part of a positive experience.

The What
Since this is 100% charity I'd like to see a min. donation of a toy valued at $10 or a cash value of $10. I'd prefer a toy however. That will get you in the ride and 15 tickets for door prizes. Each person will get 10 for the toy they bring to the ride.
The change is based on the larger than expected numbers of attendees.

The When
November 7

The Where
Lakewoods Resort

DJ with Karaoke from ? to close

Dinner buffet, cost $19.95

Prize drawings to start 8:00

There will be shirts available in the future. If you like to have others donate to this cause (your ATV club etc.) let me know. So we can work together.

Remember it's for the kids but also to say a big thanks to all those who serve.

God bless

Mike

This is a great price for a two night stay at a resort ( $99.00). The resort also has a pool and some of the rooms are located right by the pool.

We have our room already booked and we are by the pool. Because as of right now we are bringing our kids to this ride, since this is for kids. We would like to show our girls that there are a lot of children out there that don't really get anything for Christmas and what better way to show them is to have a charity ride for Toys 4 Tots. I think the kids will have a blast picking out the toys that they will donate.

We hope to have a big turn out, since it's for a great cause! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tu2.gif)

When my kids were young Lakewoods was one of the special places we spent long weekends. We always tried to book a room next to the pool and looking over the lake. It was a real treat for the entire family.

One of the hi-lites for me is the Sunday brunch.... it rocks! We have taken Sunday rides just to enjoy it.

I had never ridden the trails until recently and I really enjoyed them. I would consider them smooth trails with a lot of character. Winding through the rolling hills was a blast and I'm sure it will be a real treat with some colorful leaves and the cool crispness of an autumn day.

Great choice on both the charity and location hboy!!

A "Veteran" - whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including their life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact.

Well.... when you know, book your hotel.

This will be a great time and all for a great cause.

I know money is tight for a lot of people right now, but hopefully you can open your wallets and donate either a toy or a donation of money for some child to have a little brighter Christmas.
