Answer is left because on a bus the only side door is on the passenger side meaning we are looking at the drivers side. That puts the driver on the left side of the bus picture.

But for all we know the bus driver is backing up.

Do you want to talk about the plane on the conveyor?

Back to the bus question.....yes, Hboy is correct based on the criteria shown.
And..90% of PRESCHOOLERS would have answered that way......
...but it has more to do with to fact that they ( preschoolers) have not been pre-conditioned to read left to right.

Once that conditioning is in place, one has the tendancy to say it's heading to the right mostly because it just feels like that.
Pre-conditioning.

It's a age/reading level biased question

I said right cuz it looked kinda like a shorter bus, you seen some of the drivers of those. I spent 5 minutes in a snow bank because of one on Monday. Fun times.

Hboy, YOU ARE CORRECT!!

90% of the Pre-Schoolers did say the bus was traveling LEFT because there is NO DOOR SHOWN to get on the bus - because of conditioning - although visual - and preschoolers do read left to right...!! (good theory though Lars) and there are no passengers depicted in the picture nor a driver.

The door would be shown if the bus was travelling right and we all naturally assume that travel is forward and not backward.

So, Now I know who is safe to follow....

Hboy and Lars...lol!!
