Anything that plugs into a common 3.5 mm audio output jack CAN NOT control the device function.

Icombi (sp) simply converts the common audio stereo signal to a bluetooth signal and the ChatterBox picks up that signal.... and you hear it. Icombi, offers NO other device controls to the source equipment.

A "Veteran" - whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including their life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact.

The comments below may have come across a bit harsh, that wasnt the intent.

This unit, only allows for audio streaming.

This unit, designed for the Ipod allows most all functions of the iPod to be controlled via Bluetooth.

Leann and I both have the blue tooth model, I also bought blue tooth MP3 players recommended by Star. The chatter box can control the MP3 player so you can put the Mp3 any where you want. Those using the I-crumbie does not have that added benefit.

What are the MP3 players that Star recommended?

Honestly I'd look around for any bluetooth enable mp3 player. I had a hell of time find the two I got just because they are a discounted model.

I got a 4 gig Insignia Pilot mp3 with Bluetooth at Best buy a couple yrs ago. They no longer carry it. I've seen reconditioned/refurbished ones on Ebay fairly reasonable. That's the only place I could find a replacement battery.
